Job Summary: This position is remote. The AVP, Provider Recruitment oversees and executes the medical staff development plan and provider recruitment strategies for the organization including direct supervision of Sourcing Specialists and Regional Recruiters. Recruitment strategies and efforts should be focused on continual improvement in retention along with timeliness of recruiting candidates. Collaborate with divisional and facility leadership teams to achieve recruiting and retention targets. Assure strong collaboration and coordination with the physician practice operations leadership and hospital division leadership. Lead the physician recruitment team using a balanced approach on recruitment strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Provide strategic oversight for Provider Recruitment team ensuring LifePoint metrics and objectives are met. Working collaboratively to assess, improve, and implement best practices to effectively recruit and retain providers in our markets. Partner with all levels of corporate and hospital leadership and recruitment team in executing strategies and initiatives to recruit and retain qualified providers to practice in LifePoint markets. Develop and implement provider recruitment strategies for entire organization to meet desired recruiting and retention goals. Mentor Sourcing Specialists and Recruiters to ensure their growth and development. Train and educates recruitment team to ensure a smooth recruitment process inclusive of financial negotiations and closings. Collaborate in the development of the balanced recruitment strategies for providers to ensure market competitiveness and retention. Develop, review, and provide insight on national recruiting and retention trends. Serve as provider recruitment representative at various national and regional meetings, as necessary. Facilitate educational presentations to residency programs and serve as a resource for residents regarding recruitment issues. Administer LifePoint’s applicant tracking system including development and deployment of necessary improvements. Responsible for data management and reporting metrics of key performance indicators. Develop and maintain effective sourcing strategies inclusive of trade shows, direct mail campaigns and search firm resources. Review and negotiate agency contracts to ensure service level and compliance areas are being met. Provide organizational reports on all provider recruitment progress and make recommendations on appropriate provider recruitment staffing to divisional and facility leadership. Manage and negotiate locums vendor agreements for the organization. Works collaboratively with vendors to ensure that facility needs are filled in a timely fashion with quality providers. Assesses vendor invoices to ensure compliance with terms of agreements. Regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:The Physician Recruiter plans, coordinates, implements, and directs all activities for the recruitment and hiring of primary care and specialty care physicians for the Rush University Medical Center. This position advises and collaborates with senior management within the organization with regard to physician recruitment and retention, staffing budgetary compliance, hiring strategies, search/selection committee management, and physician recruitment. The Physician Recruiter must maintain key working relationships with the Rush University Medical Center: Department Heads, Primary and Specialty Care, Clinic Chiefs of Professional Services, Hospital, Clinic and Departmental Administrative Management, Rush University Medical Center administrative and support staff, Rush University Medical Center residency/fellowship programs, regional and national physician associations and societies, independent recruitment firms (temporary and permanent provider staffing), and external vendors (ie., advertising agencies, moving companies, realtors). Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.Job Responsibilities:Advise and strategize with the Medical Director, Associate Medical Directors, Department Heads, Regional Assistant Medical Directors, Chiefs of Professional Services, Regional/Clinic Site Managers, and Administrative Directors regarding recruitment, candidate interview and hiring processes for Rush University Medical Center Faculty physicians.Develop, plan, implement and manage all methods to generate candidates, including national/local/Internet advertising, direct mail, resident-related events and activities, marketing and promotional materials, and website development and maintenance. Develop and maintain the provider on-line application system and process.Manage all aspects of Rush University Medical Center physician recruitment and hiring. This includes screening and responding to candidate inquiries; contacting and discussing opportunities, candidate qualifications and best clinic/practice match; presenting candidate to Department Head/clinic/department for employment consideration; overseeing preparation of itinerary and interview site visit(s) processes; following up with candidate/department to determine continued interest; negotiating terms of employment; generating offer and employment letters; initiating post-hiring processes with other Physician Services Department sections; coordinating household moving process with candidate and vendors.Provide consultative physician recruitment services to internal Rush University Medical Center customers (ie., Department Heads, Chiefs of Professional Services, VP) and external customers (ie., affiliated clinics and healthcare organizations). This involves marketing the Medical Affairs recruitment services, including strategies and interview processes, methods to generate candidate leads, and negotiation of independent recruitment firm contracts and candidate contracts.Develop and implement an annual Rush University Medical Center physician provider recruitment and retention plan.
