

NAPR/NALTO 2008 Annual Convention Highlights: Awards & New Leadership
The NAPR 2008 Annual Convention was held April 30-May 3, 2008, at the Peabody Memphis in Memphis, TN. More than 260 attendees not only received the highest-quality educational programs available, but also the opportunity to experience Memphis hospitality at its finest. From the top-notch speakers and topics to the social and networking hours to the sights and sounds of Graceland, the resounding echoes of the meeting were nothing short of fantastic. Highlights of the annual meeting included the presentation of the much-anticipated NAPR awards as well as the introduction of the 2008-2009 NAPR Board of Directors:
Marty Osinski Assumes Role as NAPR President
Marty Osinski was installed as the 2008-2009 President of the National Association of Physician Recruiters during the ceremony on Thursday, May 1, 2008. Osinski has served on the NAPR board for the past several years as well as on several NAPR committees for many years. Most recently, Osinski served as President-Elect as well as NAPR Vice-President and, in 1991-92, he was President of NAPR. Patrice Streicher, Anne Folger & Jim Stone Elected to NAPR Board of Directors
Anne Folger: Ms. Folger possesses over 25 years of leadership, human resources and recruitment experience. She has worked in the retail industry, semiconductor industry and has spent the last 15 years in the healthcare field. Prior to moving to Oregon in 1998 she worked for Catholic Healthcare West/Mercy Healthcare Arizona where she led the HR division of a large medical center. (Read more...)

Dear Miss Deed:
I work for a medical group as a physician recruiter and we recently joined NAPR. I received a call from "Recruiter A" who is with an NAPR recruiting firm with which we have an active contingency contract. "Recruiter A" made a referral by providing the candidate’s name, which I cleared (I did not have the candidate). She then gave me a brief history and background of the candidate. The next day I received a written summary of the candidate which included her training, interests and licensing information and personal information. (Read more...)
