Is recruiting selling or consulting or is it a combination of both? If it is selling, what are you selling and to whom? Are you selling the position or are you selling the candidate and where does selling yourself fit into all of this? If it is consulting, the same questions apply. Trying to move the process forward by asking the right questions to both candidates and the hiring party, pushing the right buttons and knowing when to quit are some of the key points to be discussed in this interactive session

Title: Behavioral Based Interviewing
Speaker: Sandi Brewer
Carolinas Healthcare System
Charlotte, NC
Progressive employers have embraced the concept of behavioral-based interviewing, a candidate screening technique that helps interviewers determine which candidates can talk a good game and which can really deliver. Behavioral-based interviewing works on the premise that the most accurate predictor of future performance is past performance in a similar situation, and focuses on experiences, behaviors, attitudes, knowledge, skills and abilities. Through this session, recruiters will learn how to incorporate behavioral-based interviewing approaches with more traditional interviewing approaches to really gain insight about candidates to help employers make the right choice the first time. This technique can be used to refine your interviewing skills not only in recruiting physicians, but also in recruiting all employees.

Stating that you will increase revenue or placements by X amount are not enough. Improving revenue or increasing placements starts with a change in behavior. You must identify the behavior that has achieved your current results and determine what behavior will change to achieve the increased goals. The daily, weekly, and monthly activities are a direct reflection of behavior. Managing activity to establish key performance indicators (KPI) that produce results is the equation for increasing performance.
In this session, you will learn from two firms what activity generates KPI that produce placements and revenue. We will examine the behavior of top performers and what separates them from average performers. You will leave with benchmarks to evaluate your performance as compared to other recruiters and have a system to increase your performance.

Money talks, but employees still walk from jobs for many other reasons. With today’s candidate- driven climate and the ever- increasing costs to hire and develop employees, companies must make every effort to select, maximize, and retain good people. The key to retention is recognizing the factors that are most important to your employees.
Healthcare Staffing executives share what motivates employees to leave their current jobs or stay with their current employers. Whether your interest is in retaining contract employees or sales/recruiting representatives, you need to know the basic factors that contribute to overall satisfaction. Keep your top talent by learning strategies to fill the gap between what you provide and what your employees expect.
After all, at the end of the day you bet on people, not strategies to get things done.
